Build your own telescope

hi friends, building telescope is very easy, i had been working on building a good telescope from last one and half year, at last i got a good working model of telescope and i am happy with it now.

Before we proceed forward I assume that you know some basics of telescope, its ray diagram, lenses, eyepieces etc.

You can build your telescope in less than 1500 rupees and within one day.
you need to collect some material listed below.

• 50 mm achromatic lens
  
• 25, 16, 12 mm eyepiece
  
• 63 x 50 mm pvc pipe reducer
• 50 mm pvc pipe
• a pair of 50 mm MT FT (a nut bolt arrangement in pvc pipe)
• Teflon tape
• 50 x 32 pvc pipe reducer
  

This is all you require for your telescope.

Procedure to build telescope form this material

1. measure power of your lens
   
2. you can insert your eyepiece in 50 x 32 mm reducer
3. apply Teflon tape over the grooves of MT FT arrangement.
4. insert your eyepiece and reducer arrangement into MT FT arrangement.
5. cut 50 mm pcv pipe according to power of lense
   
6. Take 50 mm achromatic lens and put in reduce of diameter 63 x 50 mm. if you are not able to put the lens in the reducer, brush the reducer with the help of lath machine. This will help you to get perfect axis of the lense.
7. wrap some Teflon tape at other end of your 50 mm pvc pipe
   
8. insert it into the reducer of 50 mm where you had already inserted lens , this will lock the lense
   
9. your telescope is ready

you need to get the length of 50 mm pvc pipe by trial and error method
